help diagnose and treatment of patients. In this paper, the expert system development
method used is the forward chaining method, using Visual Basic 6.0 and database
Microsoft Access 2007. With the development of expert system application is expected
application can be used in health centers and hospitals that need, using a special
computer at the place in a hospital waiting room or clinic patients, so that the visitors
and patients with lung disease well that is waiting for a doctor came, the doctor was
not in place, or at least queue up to use this application before a consultation. Thus
the existence of this system does not mean eliminate / replace the role and position of
an expert or specialist lungs are, but can be more easier and speed up the
performance of doctors to determine lung disease suffered by the patients themselves
and to popularize science experts the lungs through this system in the general
population.
